1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MapLeads (“the Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”) at themapleads.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MapLeads is a business directory research tool. We help users view publicly available business information from Google Maps via the official Google Places API.

MapLeads IS:

•✓ A business directory viewer
•✓ A personal research organiser
•✓ A personal email writing assistant (you send; we do not)
•✓ A public data aggregation tool

MapLeads is NOT:

•✗ An email marketing platform
•✗ A bulk or mass email sender
•✗ A marketing list provider or data broker
•✗ An automated outreach system
•✗ A scraping tool (we use the official Google Places API)

About our Export feature: MapLeads allows users to save their personal research as a spreadsheet file for their own private reference. This data must not be used to create marketing lists, shared with third parties, or used for bulk commercial messaging.

About our Email Writing feature: MapLeads includes an optional tool that helps users write individual personalised messages. This tool only composes text — it does not transmit, send, or broadcast any emails. Users always copy the message to their own personal email client and send it themselves.

2.2 Email Writing Feature

MapLeads includes an optional email writing tool that helps users compose individual, personalised emails to businesses they have researched.

This feature:

•✓ Assists with writing ONE email at a time
•✓ Opens the user's own email client to send
•✓ Does NOT send emails automatically or on your behalf
•✓ Does NOT enable bulk or mass emailing
•✓ Requires you to manually send each email from your own personal account

MapLeads is not an email marketing platform and does not provide email broadcasting infrastructure of any kind.

2.1 Automated Scoring Features

MapLeads offers an optional Business Priority Score feature that calculates a numeric score (1–10) for businesses based solely on publicly available data from Google Maps, including:

•Google rating
•Number of reviews
•Website presence

This score is:

•✓ Based only on public business listing data
•✓ A research prioritization aid only
•✓ Not a decision about any individual person
•✓ Not used for credit, employment, insurance, or similar decisions
•✓ Always subject to your own judgment

You are never required to use this feature and all final decisions about whether and how to contact any business remain entirely yours.

3. Acceptable Use

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use MapLeads to:

•Research and discover local businesses relevant to your services
•Save and organize business contacts for personal research use
•Write personalised emails to businesses you have a genuine reason to approach
•Save your personal research data for your own use

3.2 Prohibited Use

MapLeads is a personal research tool designed for individual use to research specific businesses — not for mass marketing campaigns or bulk outreach. Use for mass marketing is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

You must NOT use MapLeads to:

Spam or unsolicited bulk email

Send unsolicited bulk or commercial email (spam) to any individuals or businesses discovered through our platform. All outreach must comply with applicable anti-spam laws in your jurisdiction.

Legal non-compliance

Violate any applicable law including:

•CAN-SPAM Act (United States)
•GDPR (European Union)
•CASL (Canada)
•PECR (United Kingdom)
•Any other applicable privacy or marketing law in your country

Data reselling

Resell, license, or redistribute business data obtained through MapLeads as a standalone dataset or data product.

Platform abuse

•Use automated scripts or bots
•Attempt to bypass rate limits
•Scrape or cache our platform data
•Attempt to reverse engineer the platform

Misrepresentation

Impersonate any person or entity or falsely represent your affiliation when contacting businesses.

Harassment

Use discovered data to harass, threaten, or harm any individual or business.

3.3 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

•Your contact activities using information researched through MapLeads
•Ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
•Including required unsubscribe mechanisms in any marketing communications
•Honoring opt-out requests immediately
•Maintaining your own email sending infrastructure and reputation

MapLeads provides data discovery tools only. The decision to contact any business, and how to do so, is entirely yours. MapLeads is designed for individual personalised contact only. Mass emailing or bulk messaging using data from MapLeads is strictly prohibited.

About our email writing feature:

4. Intellectual Property

MapLeads and its content, features and functionality are owned by MapLeads and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

Business data displayed in MapLeads is sourced from Google Maps (Google LLC) via the official Google Places API. MapLeads does not claim ownership of this data.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Plans

Free, Pro, and Agency plans are available. Current pricing: themapleads.com/#pricing

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by our payment processor. We never store your payment details. All transactions are encrypted and secure.

5.3 Price Changes

We may update pricing at any time. Existing subscribers receive 30 days notice before any price increase takes effect on their account.

Price Lock Promise: Your current price is honored until the end of your billing cycle following any notice period. You may cancel before the increase takes effect at no penalty.

5.4 Billing Cycle

•Monthly plans: billed every 30 days
•Annual plans: billed every 365 days
•Unused searches do not roll over

5.5 Cancellation

Cancel anytime from Dashboard → Billing. Access continues until period end. No partial refunds for unused time. See our Refund Policy for full details.

6. Disclaimers

6.1 Data Accuracy

Business information is sourced from Google Maps public listings. MapLeads does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of this data. Always verify information before use.

6.2 Service Availability

MapLeads is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

6.3 Contact Results

We make no representations regarding the results of any contact you make with businesses researched using data from MapLeads.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

•MapLeads is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
•Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 90 days
•We are not responsible for any legal consequences arising from your use of discovered business data

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MapLeads harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

•Your use of the Service
•Your violation of these Terms
•Your contact activities using data researched through MapLeads
•Your violation of any applicable law

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable international commercial law. Any disputes will first be addressed through good faith negotiation.

10. Changes to Terms

We will notify users of material changes via email with 14 days advance notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

11. Chrome Extension Terms

Extension license

MapLeads grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the MapLeads Chrome extension solely for your internal business prospecting purposes. The extension is available to Pro and Agency plan subscribers only.

Permitted use

You may use the extension to:

•View and extract publicly visible profile information from LinkedIn
•Find business email addresses for professional outreach purposes
•Save leads to your MapLeads account
•Export lead data in CSV format

Prohibited use

You must NOT use the extension to:

•Scrape data at a volume that violates LinkedIn's Terms of Service
•Collect data on individuals for non-business purposes
•Build databases for resale or redistribution of the collected data
•Circumvent any LinkedIn security or access controls
•Automate interactions with LinkedIn profiles (the extension is read-only)

Credit consumption

Each email address successfully found through the extension consumes one Email Finding Credit from your plan allowance. Credits are only deducted when an email is found — not for failed lookups. Credits follow the same rollover policy as your plan.

LinkedIn compliance

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the extension complies with LinkedIn's User Agreement and applicable law. MapLeads is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation. LinkedIn and Sales Navigator are registered trademarks of LinkedIn Corporation.

Extension updates

MapLeads may update the extension at any time to fix bugs, improve performance, or add features. Updates may change functionality. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated extension.

No automation guarantee:The extension is designed and tested to never perform automated actions on LinkedIn (no auto-connect, auto-follow, auto-message, or auto-apply). However, you are responsible for reviewing your use and ensuring compliance with LinkedIn's terms.
